Nobody

For my OPP

I’ve lived a lie.

I was never truly me.

I was only who everyone wanted me to be.

And I was perfectly fine,

just watching the time fly by,

just fading into the crowd,

never to be noticed or shown. 

I was fine,

Just being one in a line.

I was grand,

 just blending in.

But if you live your life as a fly on the wall,

 you never find who you truly are.

Don’t look at me.

I am nobody.

 I am not an important human being.

I’m the person you overlook,

 I am like cellophane,

 I am see through. 

Don’t pay any attention to me.

Please.

I am nobody.

Forget me.

I am nobody.

I’m not a hero.

I am not an angel.

 I am not a manic,

 I am not the devil.

I am not your savior.

I can’t even save myself.

 I am nobody.

 Nobody else.

 Do you expect me to do something?

 I told you I am a worthless human being.

 All I do is take up air,

so don’t watch or stare.

Go ahead.

 ignore me.

 I am nobody.

 Neglect me.

 I am nobody.

Don’t notice me.

 I am nobody.

I am just insignificant me.

I am nobody.

 Don’t pity me.

 I am nobody.
