Blinking Lights

Blinking Lights

A Poem by Miss. Smith

Blinking lights across the sky
Spinning, turning
Thrown down
Streaks of light upon the ground.

Find me
Find me
I am hidden behind the veil of night
With nothing to convey
Nothing to say.

Take to the record shop
Dodge the man in the stop
Half in the veil of night
Staring at his hands
Murmuring forgotten sounds.

See me
See me
I am in your head
Don't come near me
Don't leave me dead.
