What We MissedA Poem by TheLoveAnomaly/SuicideConcerto
In this life, my love, we may never meet,
Though I've searched the stars, the earth beneath my feet. The dream of you haunts me in shadows and light, A fleeting glimpse that fades into the night. I’ve wandered through moments, hoping for a sign, That our paths would cross, that you’d be mine. But the fates are cruel, and the years pass by, With love so near, yet slipping from my eye. Still, I feel you, somewhere, far away, A soul I’ve known, in a time or day That’s yet to come, or perhaps has passed" A love too pure, too strong to last. So here, in this darkness, I whisper to you, In another life, let our love be true. Let the stars align and our hearts entwine, In that life, my love, you will be mine. For this world, this time, was never enough, But in another, we’ll find that one-in-a-lifetime love © 2024 TheLoveAnomaly/SuicideConcerto |
