I LOOK TO WRITE AGAIN

I LOOK TO WRITE AGAIN

A Poem by DIVYA
"

For you... 😽

"

I look to write again

The pen shrieks nevermore

What used to be a pleasure

Has now become a chore

A muse that used to zoom

Full throttle through the door

Roams stuporous in her quest

For brand new metaphors

I look to write again

The scribbler in me snores

That wordster in me sleeps

Like a pallid, bloodless w***e

No brainstorms can be brewed

In a pot riddled to the core

No clouds can lead to rain

So digressed from the shore

Yet I look to write again

Lost feelings to restore

I write with all my rust

So you may love me more

quite like this piece...and relate to content...i am looking to write some decent poems again...been feeling like i have been writing crap....
how do you get rust when you have been writing all along....that's me.
i like the idea that you can't brew brainstorms....so true...
they just boil over on their own.

Lovely poetry is painted when you are
in the arms of Amore... love of being and feeling the waves of wonderment. There are lines here that stir my mind with Primrose power to grow and paint with words. truly, Pat

Thank you so much dear Pat...I love where my words took you...all good things 🤗
Like the weather, our enthusiasm and inspiration to write seems to be cyclical, low & high pressure systems pass over brining with them ideas and articulation that helps the flow of ink onto paper, and I'm thrilled my friend to see you're currently once-more enjoying a particularly clement, creative spell of warm, sunny cyclones, inspiring your muse and eclectic imagination, mine however is experiencing a particularly cold and frigid pattern 😭

Creative with perfect rhyme and flow Divya, shine on my gifted friend ☀️

When my stack of unfinished pieces gets taller than those I actually finish is the day I'm sure to run out of ink ! Sometimes writers are the most hard on themselves and than... seemingly out of no where inspiration comes to write again. Stick with it !

Thank you so much for stopping by and your kind encouragement.
I have always found that the harder I try, the harder and more fruitless it becomes. It is then I stop and I mean stop, come to a dead halt, even though I am itching to take up a pen.

Then again, 'tis the same with every human endeavor is it not, even love takes a hiatus.

Clearly your muse has not deserted you here.

Beccy.

Thank you for stopping by. Good luck, you too :)
Writers block is written about often here, so it must be a great inspiration! This is one of the best writers block poems I've read becuz you convey the sensation of wanting to pull your hair out. I do not get writers block & it might be becuz I had to go to work for 30 years, sit down every single day, & just start writing (technical) for 8 hours non-stop, year after year. I never thought about it. I just did it, like anyone does whatever job he/she does. I've been blessed by this. I've never felt you as being unable to write very well & strongly, even when you feel you aren't in top form! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Hi Divya, You've written a fine poem that most writers will connect with . Every so often the creative juices dry up and nothing seems to come. Thankfully something magical happens and we put pen to paper.
The creative spark is a bit of a mystery, personally I feel it is innate but like everything you can learn it to some extent.
All the best,
Alan

An elegant and insightful poem regarding your inability to write--as well as you might like.
Readers would never have detected any "rust" had you not confessed to it.
Work, D, that is both polished and meaningful.

and i do love you more Divya!!! :)))))))) rhyme and rhythm are lilting ... easy flow! i like the wry sense of humor and these lines jump out for me:
"That wordster in me sleeps
Like a pallid, bloodless w***e" and
"I write with all my rust
So you may love me more"
when we are uninspired ... write about it :)))))))))))) of course! or take a class .. or spontaneous word associations ;} really like your poem ... speaks to all i am sure
