Asteroid

Asteroid

A Poem by C Peril
"

"
Your drunken heart, in a sober constellation
You are certain when you tell me
about the orbits, mathematics
You say that it's all calculable
The gift of creation subordinated to
predictable regulation
A planet walks the black path, lonely space
Shackled, staring at the burning face
of a solitary sun
I tell you that's a conceit
Now watch out, because you forgot
about the asteroid

There's always something coming up that we hadn't quite planned on. But then we can't make allowances for the random. The only thing that remains the same is change. I enjoyed the read, my friend.
