The Beauty in Fall

The Beauty in Fall

A Poem by Threads
"

Thoughts on healing and recovery

"

Colors,

            trees of dusk

Smells,

            rains of memories

What makes so charming,

a swan song of nature?

The cardinal reds and amber yellows?

The fiery rebellion to an end

(of a cycle?)

Grey skies of pouring rain

First bites of cold days

Burn of a hot drink in your chest?

What makes so charming,

a swan song of nature?

The routine of daily life is stopped by bursts

            of wind

                        of rain

The familiar bustle of days

Recalling moments before,

Of walking down those same streets

Of pausing to those same lights

Over, and over -in effect,

To remind; what makes so charming,

a swan song of nature
