When I Leave You

When I Leave You

A Poem by Threads

It will not be in hate
I harbour no anger
it can not be in fate
that star had its writing

The distance will have grown, too far to reach
happenstance will have me, no way to teach
your hand
the caress it bade

Crowned by the sun
a Miller's daughter
my thoughts run
to make her martyr

Have there help to memory's jogging:
the same path and beach
track, and held reach

There will yet be sole survivor, treasured memory
and with a gasp and sigh
soon behest the role reviver
to beset rest, and die

When I leave you
It will be that - time forces me move
and remove
That sweet confetti and fireworks
from once a lifetime ago
now, adieu

I'm not sure what I want to say of this poem yet. I'll let it do the talking I suppose.
