Jealousy and Greed

Oh little boy can't you see?
Peace and love just cannot be.
The world is consumed by too much hate,
Causing pain is human fate.
All is ruled by blood and fear,
The agony causes many tears.

Two traits cause it all,
Bringing great men down to fall.
Jealousy and greed,
They plant their seed,
It changes men,
From good, to evil instead.
Many have tried to exterminate this catalyst,
None have won when they battle it.
This undefeated trait spreads like disease,
Making all that's good concede.
