Mel's poem

Mel's poem

A Poem by TidgeTiger
"

poem for Mel

"

fluttered wing of silken silence
you held within your hand
i watched and whispered secrets
to a world that once was grand
you smiled and felt release
as it took its sweet respite,
then you simply let it go
and it softly took its flight

the butterfly is sung as love
or natures fragile child
i dont know of which it means
yet with it i was beguiled.
As you yourself let it fly
i couldnt help but wonder why
and then a part of me understood
it was that part of you undefiled.

So watching you in private reverie
and watching you rest upon your hand
i realised that you were stronger
and watched you take your stand

unowned, uncaptured,
forced to fight the fight
part of you is with that god,
and with him on his flight

Take my hand you heard
a voice unspoken, bid
and washing away the bad of yesterday
the grime itself was rid
and where my spirit had been carved
a little pain made room
for you to rest inside my soul
as a child in a womb.

so butterfly twin, your in me too,
and ill take you with me everyday
for thats a special friendship
with not a single ending way.

I loved the thought in this poem and would love for you to re-read it one more time and rewrite it as to define its true meaning that seemed to get lost within the amount of words. This is a powerful thought that made you sit and write, it deserves to be read...and re-read.
