Here To Stay

Here To Stay

A Poem by Jessica Slatton

A look, a smile
Lighter then sand
A touch, a kiss
Upon your soft hand

My eyes did lock
Upon your gaze
Frozen forever
In a haze

My hand slid deep
Into your grasp
The perfect fit
I know will last

And though we may be
Miles away
I know that you
Are here to stay

Nice!!!!! I adored it very much! It is short but it's amazing and needs to have more feedback! Incredible!

Thank you very much.

This is a really nice poem that many would describe as a love poem. But I think you cover more ground than a typical love poem. This is about closeness, intimacy and certainty. These are very difficult subjects to cover, and I think many poets avoid them altogether.

You crafted a very nice piece. Great work.
