In Celebration Of Trees

In Celebration Of Trees

A Poem by Tina Kline

So many trees all around

green leafy branches reaching high

hear the soft soothing rustle

as if they brush against the blue sky

I wander here in this shady place

from the harsh sun I desire to stay free

a refreshing cool breeze teases and plays

so spectacular is this endless forest of trees

Through this lush forest I continue to walk

I marvel at the so many different green shades

bird song and the soft sighing of leaves

this place so beautiful only God could have made

I want these trees to never come to an end

I want to wander here for an eternity

To hear the birds sing and the leaves to rustle

To experience forever the magic of this wild mystery

This is definitely a beautiful depiction of trees. It gives them enough character to make them stand out amidst their towering glory.

I enjoyed the quatrains and the rhyme very much.

One small thing I want to bring up is, "I marvel at the so many" - there is no need for "the" here...it comes across as bad English to me :)

Nicely done.

I wish I could have a walk in the woods like that where I live... But it's mosquito season so I'll pass, lol. Nice poem!

It is a mystery isn't it? But we can so easily identify the hand of God in a forest...as you have pointed out. I think my favorite spot in the hot summers here is a Pine forest not far from where I live, cool fragrant and mystical...a beautiful nature piece Tina!! :-)
