I gave up

I gave up

A Poem by Tiffany Elise
"

This one is really sad, but it tells a story....

"

Can't you see,

Can't you see my lifeless shell,

I'm lost in the dark,

My soul left in hell.

Can't you call my name?

Wake me from this everlasting sleep?

My sould shattered,

My heart cut deep,

As I look down,

I see you cursing at the sky,

you're on your knees cring,

you're wondering why....

I'm gone now,

so please just leave me in the grass,

please save me the tears,

leave the poisoned glass.

Atleast then they'll know what happened,

they'll regret what they did,

they'll regret what they said,

they'll forget the word 'forbid'....

My once light blue eyes,

now the eyes of a ghost,

I can't bare thinking right now,

it's you I'll miss the most.

The poison was just too strong,

I couldn't fight the fire within my blood,

The flow inside my beating heart,

it felt like the flow was a flood.

My blood deep dark and red,

My blood sealed by secrecy,

I start to forget...

but I still know that I went down without a fight,

I still know that I gave up.

For that is the only thing I regret,

but... why... didn't I WANT to die?
