And, yet.

And, yet.

A Poem by Bri
"

School. :P

"

They watch us with judgmental eyes.

Greedy glances.

Envious glares.

And yet, we adore them.

They turn on us in the blink of an eye.

Sharing our secrets.

Laughing at our weaknesses.

And yet, we trust them.

They point out our flaws in fits of anger.

Betraying us.

Turning on us.

And yet, we want to be their friends.

Who are these people, you may ask?

You can find them anywhere and everywhere.

Mine,

are at school.

This is a very good poem about frenemies, as well as the kids people hate to love, love to hate, and yet want to be all at once- what might be called the in-crowd. I like how you established different ideas with different colors, with black signifying their general atrocities, the red emphasizing both emotion and more detailed descriptions, purple highlighting the reactions contradictory to the actions, and the blue addressing the reader.

They are everywhere...Yet love rules. Nice poem!

True. Some people only pretend to be your friends and then laugh in your face when you can't see them. That's what makes it so wonderful to find a friend who doesn't do that, because without dark there can be no light and vise versa.
I like how you played the beautiful lie tune in this.
Well done!

Yes, family and friends... What gives? ha.
It doesn't seem to change when you get older I am sorry to say. Take the good with the bad and try not to do the same to your own connections in life. I just try to assume the best intention and let the rest go...
Good work on this.

They're everywhere. I like the sentiment, not crazy about the different color fonts, but that's just my preference. Nicely pen'd.
