The power of a Kiss

T’was something more than a gentle touch

As fingers soft, my neck caressed

The simple effort wouldst convey so much

As lovers concede their souls undressed,

 

Doth not require the blossoming rose

Freshly picked wild flowers are fine

Or a verse, a poem, that you compose

That promises of a love divine,

 

Do tell me dear you feel the same

Yes tell me precious your heart is true

Unspoken desires like a burning flame

When softly whispered……  I love you,

 

Tis the simple things, express so much

As lovers share,  A gentle touch.

The line form is nice, and this reads at a nice meter. I love the depiction of wild roses as standing brighter than the picturesque rose. My only comment would be that the person being address could be addressed more simply to add to your fab notion. For example, 'yes tell me precious your heart is true', might be closer and more personal as 'tell me your heart is true', if that makes sense? But that is probably just me haha! Everyone is different and this is truly beautiful as it is. :)
