It Is You

A love poem for the one I love

Steam is gently rising
   from the cup between my palms

Pine boughs softly bend in the morning breeze

Sunrise comes knocking on my soul
        as again I think of you....

Words escape me
       So many thoughts fill my mind
     yet seem to fade before pen meets page

Still...

It is you

The one that captured my heart
        Comforts me at the end of the day…

Feels my breath on her neck in the quiet times

It is you

And as the Sun warms the morning air

Last night’s bliss fades into memories

My cup awaits a refill

 

Again I think of the love we share

And always will

Because no matter what…..

                        It is you.

How utterly romantic and sensual, Trace. I have not been able to come on WC as often as before due to exams and work etc. but when I am away I know that there's a missing piece in life - sounds like I am exaggerating - but believe me, your words are like medicine to some.
