My Love is a Promise

A Valentine poem for my wife

               

                           

                           My love is a promise,

 

A Forever promise, something special,

Not just words whispered in the dark,

But words of a man that knew he had found,

The woman he had waited for,

 “My Valentine”

 My love is a promise,

Once given, never forgotten,

It was not just your hand I asked for,

But your heart,

It was not my lips you kissed,

But my soul,

  

My Sweetheart”

 My love is a promise,

An eternal declaration of adoration,

Of dedication, a souvenir of all I offer,

And life has never been better,

Since you came into my life.

 

“My Lover”                 

My love is a promise,

Of all I am, all I have,

All I can be, and all I want,

I want it for us,

Forever,

 

I’ll love you forever,,

My Lover, Sweetheart, and Wife,

My Forever Valentine !!!

Aww, you should be writing these for Greeting Card companies, because I guarantee that there is not a woman out there that would not want these sentiments in her card from her husband, and few have the ability to really put it into words. What a wonderful Valentine's Day poem!
