Angels Whispering

A poem about snow

There is something magical
In a winter night's storm
Not a blizzard,. Oh no.
But a calm, steady gathering of giant delicate flakes,
It brings out the desire
To build a glowing fire
And snuggle up with somebody warm,
And let it snow.

Have you ever stood outside as it snowed,
When all was calm, still and slow
And listened
to shimmering crystals falling,,,
Softly, quietly, kissing, calling,,
Listen closely,.
It's like angels whispering...
Let it snow.. let it snow.. let it snow.

Where I'm from snow is a very rare treat indeed to see. Your poem is like a warm blanket wrapping around your reader, while imagining the snow falling.Lovely poem

This had a complicated rhyme pattern, but it's in there.

I have not been in a real snow storm since the early 1980s, but this not only made me want to, but made me "see" the snow. Very nicely written with great imagery. ~Jim
