Tempered Tranquility

Tempered Tranquility

A Poem by Tracie Skarbo

Those that touch souls

Throughout dripping night-lands

Of dreamscape

Swathe me

In iridescent indigo

Lifting me up amongst

Lofty wisdom

Showing me that tempered tranquility

Is not a complicated forge

Tempting turquoise kisses

Caress my cheek gently

As mist like beings

With their edgeless forms

Suggest to me of

Their grandeur and ageless consent

They whisper of the Universe

And all its pungent possibility

If only we unveil our sight

Peeling back layers

Of imposed ignorance

And look again

Upon virgin concepts

With innocence

Learning consists of daily accumulating. The practice of the Tao consists of daily diminishing; decreasing and decreasing, until doing nothing. When nothing is done, nothing is left undone. True.. more..
