Little Butterfly

Little butterfly! O little buterfly!

I wonder where you will fly today

I watch you play among the flowers

I know you don't have long to stay

 

You flutter your precious wings

You fly upon invisible crests of wind

Such a beautiful song you sing

Searching life, it's where you begin

 

I wish I had wings like you

To fly with such graceful charm

You do life no harm

Like the poetry of scared psalms

 

You started off as caterpillar

To show me we need to grow

For the day when I am ready to fly

Ready to give life a try

 

May the wind be always with you

May it lift you to a higher life

May the Great Spirit praise you

I hope to be just like you faithfully soon

 

Thou keep singing merry to me
