What love looks like

What love looks like

A Poem by Trapped

What
Does love
Look like?
Is it kind?
Warm?
Caring?
Ready to comfort you at any costs?
Or maybe
It is
The spitting image
Of you;
Sitting next to me
At a bonfire
Staring off into the distance,
Hand in hand,
Together.
Your hair,
Like lava
Caressing your features
As it flows down your back.
Your eyes,
Like the most valuable emeralds
Buried in the dirt
For no one to ever see.
Your lips,
Like the softest clouds
Curling
Into the smile
I have grown to love
And parting
To release love
Contained
In a single word.
“Hi”
Those beautiful freckles,
Like stars
Dancing,
Twirling,
Shining,
Lighting up your face.
When you look at me,
I melt
Like a million water droplets,
Finally released
From their cage,
Into the endless grasps of space,
Floating together,
As one.
So does this mean
That you
Are love?
Is the synonym for love
Your name?
Are you
What love
Looks like?
