Rocking Chair

Rocking Chair

A Poem by Travis Mitchell

When that rocking chair you've watched day after day,
drift forward and back suddenly stops on it's linear track.

Motionless.

No longer living up to it's name.
It's just a chair.
Permanently altered by backward movement counteracting with the forward

Instead of watching the chair. Do what it can't do.

Never let the ever repeating momentum send you backwards

Move forward and and only forward.

Amen!! keep the momentum, and keep moving forward. No static - it does no good to anyone.
I really like this great metaphor that you have used to carry on the message. :D
