Obsessed Male

Obsessed Male

A Poem by Liza

I wrote this a decade ago and it used to be painful to look back but this will forever live on.

I am his obsession

He thinks I’m his possession

My presence

Soothes his aggression

Our cuddle time suppresses

My regression

When I stroke him

I can’t help but grin

He watches me

Every second

Of every day

It doesn’t matter

What I do

He just wants

Me to stay

His obsession is endearing

He despises when I am disappearing

He’s the only male

To get away with this type of tale

He’s the only male

To demand and get more

With his roar

I know it’s all because

We adore

Each other

Not like a brother

Or a mother

His love can’t be compared

To another

He’s the only male

That wags his tail

Never does his desire

Turn Stale

His obsession is not a strain

Actually relieves any pain

He is far from plain

Our love is not in vain

This expression is far

From a complaint

This write is more like

My heart’s protection

Writing this is doing away with

Any depression

He’s my only healthy Obsession

appreciate your feedback, thank you
You've described this 'tail' well. :)

They are more dedicated than any person could be and never turn you away, nor lie, nor stab you in the back. You tricked me but it was a good trick and heartwarming. I'm sure he'll be remembered by you for as long as you live.

Nice poem.

Endearing love. Best friends. Children to some of us. There is nothing like it. This poem triggers the best and worst of memories, but the good ones make it worth it.
