Through both day and night

Devise a plan that brings you to me

But no matter how I scheme

Before reading your author's note, I totally did think of this as a country song. Nicely done. You made something heavy somehow seem light.

This was good, your transition from love to despair was nicely done. I would say to clean up the grammar a bit, but since you asked in your note NOT to I'll just be quiet XD; Good job, otherwise. It's got a kind of simple reading voice that's almost refreshing, because a lot of times writers can overload a poem with concepts and metaphors and the like, but you kept it clean. I like it :)
