Maelstrom

Maelstrom

A Poem by Benjamin L. Weekly
"

This was written on 04/07/11, at a time when I was experiencing rapid mood swings.

"
Take a step inside
The maelstrom of my heart.
Feel the wild pulse
Feeding my malevolent thoughts.

Test the waters with your toes,
And watch out for the tide,
For my mood is apt to change
As soon as it feels safe

This is a really deep poem. I love how you used water to symbolize your emotions, given how unpredictable water pressure and currents may get. And the last part of this really stood out to me, and it was my favorite part. Great job!
