Come With Me

Come With Me

A Poem by Truly Ross-Wisehart

The voice of suicide is strong...

Her beauty is rare
Seductively, she haunts you
"Come with me" says she

Your thoughts are racing
Her calm your soul
She'll relieve your pain

She steals your focus
promising the world, is she
Trust her and be free

Knowing you deeply
She twists your every feeling
Turning you to her

Forever offered
Injury and pain be gone
eternity yours

Surely she loves you
She is the one who is there
As your world's back turns

She can not choose this
She can but only offer
And offer she does

In your heart you know
She truly understands you
With her you shall be

Your decision cast
You will make a life with her
Love and peace is she

Gone now to meet her
She is nowhere to be found
Stunned by her absence

Her glow was a lie
She feigned caring to lure you
Done with you is she

High is the price paid
For letting her skew your view
There's no going back

Now as you look back
Your life didn't look so bad
If only you knew

Keeping your secret
Meeting her always alone
No one the wiser

Now they sit and cry
You're lost to them forever
Tasting bitter guilt

Weeping are their hearts
How could they have been so blind
Never seeing her

Promises she made
Removed as you committed
Your life unto her

She reveals her true purpose
Regretful are you

Your choice, forever
True, no pain nor chaos be
Neither is there love

Her beauty is rare
Seductively, she haunts you
"Come with me" says she

This is haunting... that call to come.. to let go the pain and find freedom.. yet it's a lie that seduces only... I nearly walked away myself and the light showed me her shadows. Deeply moving metaphor.
