Brains on the Train.

Brains on the Train.

A Poem by tyson

We had stopped in the middle of nowhere.

I needed a cigarette

But they said to stay on the train.

I didn’t want to wait.

I had already been waiting too long.

I bust open the emergency handle

And pushed my way out into the rain.

I lit my cigarette.

I smoked it.

I stood there silent on the platform.

I couldn’t look away.

The train started up,

It started moving.

I threw my filter on the ground

And got out of the rain.

When they say stay on the train.

Stay on the train.

Otherwise you run the risk of seeing,

Human remains, blood and bits of brain

Splattered all over the train.

I close my eyes

I’m back on that platform

I’m back in the rain

Dragging away

Racking my brain

Wishing I had of just
