Piranhas in the Pool

Piranhas in the Pool

A Poem by UC Poika
"

Sonnet about a vacation cruise incident where several people jump of a ship into piranha infested waters hoping to have a nice swim.

"

Lying about sex partners we never knew
Would arrive at seven when eight by piranhas died
Before they reached the point of starting to sue,
Not just you but the entire crew must now decide
What must be removed then from the pool for the guests
Coming up now and again from the poop deck's dinghy
Might take exception for all the blood it suggests
Would yet be there despite the pool pump thingy
That filters all freshwater but returns it
Devoid of dead fish yet not of their blood
Which really was never there for the story to quit
Like my cigar glowing in the on board flood
For the unfortunate swimmers had jumped ship
At the aft to land in piranhas only up to the hip!
