despair

despair

A Poem by Kent Rawski
"

loneliness

"
what is loneliness

apart from pain
is it silence
filled  with disdain
is it living a life
with nothing to gain
is it looking out a window
to only see the rain
with nothing left to share
with no one left to care
you drift by your way
to only see abysmal day
will oxycontin  end my stay
hang your head and cry

It's a great big bummer, way worse than a flat tire. I used to feed mine alcohol, thinking it might ease up or go away. Just made it worse, of course. When the cure finally came, it walked on two legs. Your fine poem tells it like it is.

Despair is something I dont wish to experience...as I was also there ,but now I`m in higher plnes :)
It`s really heavy feeling. Very nice poem, and rhyming.

A despeerately dark place to live in. Need throw open doors and windows, air to enter, voice to shout. Escape from those scrawled and screwed dark words of sadness. So hope -if fact, the tide turns; if not, you've brought this sadness to life.. somehow.

Have to dry the tears with a smile or few!
I think we have all felt despair, in one degree or another, in our lives. It is good to express ourselves by putting our thoughts into words.

You're welcome. Every day is different. We just have to face what comes our way, good or bad.
The despair certainly does hang over your words as a cloud. I do know this feeling and while I've never turned to self medicating I feel like this could either be a last call for help or that final coping mechanism. Very sad poem that really resonates.

Yeh I think I took that emotion and magunified it
Indeed a sad refrain that captures some of the emotions of being lonely and in dispair in a rhyming poem. And yes unfortunately oxycontin would be a sorry but effective end.
