Crumbling Beneath Three Letters

Crumbling Beneath Three Letters

I find poetry in...

three letters
an addition of me
A D D
keep me from normalcy
how can one focus with missing pieces

a voice with no meaning
words going backwards
conversations do not flow
desolate mind
awkward angles begin to show

anoxia
anxiety
enragement
gears jammed by insecurity
oppression within myself
body caught up
and lacking all ways

poetry combines words to form images
wires are crossed and each day is war
some days are victories
others of defeat
some days I surrender
can’t take anymore

crumbling beneath labels of prescriptions
and words
vyvanse
dullard
and immature
a backbone of pills is not a cure

I find poetry in…

three letters
only an addition
not a definition
I am a lover
a brother
a giver and a teacher
and it definitely taught me empathy
