A Gift From Hell to Heaven

A Gift From Hell to Heaven

A Poem by Khal Attero

The Giant bored with its loneliness,

No creature mighty like him,

For centuries described as a powerlike being,

Yet he created evil.

A man rose from the depths of dirt

A creature to be,

Originally planed to be lone.

From the man's ribs,

The Giant created somewhat like the man,

A representation of beauty,

The Giants greatest creation,

Yet to be revealed as a mistake.

Eden was the name of paradise,

Innocence across the area,

The beauty of it was endless.

A tree was created,

whom he desirable wanted,

To put the man into a test.

A nemesis approached

Revealed the secret,

Sacred power,

To be godlike.

The power to be,

To see, to know

Right from wrong.

A Snake gave us that,

A true gift from heaven.

Ha! The snake, yes, brilliant! A nice twist on a religious theme that most people take as "sinful". Of course, I think, the snake being only metaphorical for the seperation between God and man. A gift from the Heavens, Indeed. A thinking mind, capable of rationalization, of duality, not forbidden but embraced. Nicely penned, my friend.

i love the hinting of the temptation Adam and Eve were given, and how God was committing sin himself maybe? Either way i love it.

Again, you're poetry is dark and sinister. It sent chills down my spine as I began to understand it as I read on. It is a beautiful poem. The imagery is amazing, I'm picturing theses events in my head, but from a different perspective from the original story. I like this man!

i couldn't help but open my eyes in disbelief at the fact that you thought the same thing as i. it does seem really twisted that so many people shun the devil when if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have all of our clothes and knowledge and style that we use to express us so much today.

besides, god claimed to know all, and he also claims to have created us, well if he truly did those things then shouldn't he have known the sin Adam and Eve commited, instead of "testing" them and then harshly punishing them. personally i give a small thanks to the devil for giving just a bit more clarity to "god"

*loving the snake!*
