Living Dead

Living Dead

A Poem by KristaK

 There came a time

When I lost my heart.

A time when I couldn’t

When I wouldn’t live.

Live a life alone,

Alone because you left.

You left when I,

When I wasn’t ready.

Could I ever be ready?

Ready for love to leave?

To leave, and never come back?

For, come back you wouldn’t.

I held the gun,

A gun to end.

End the pain,

The pain of living.

But then I saw,

I saw a light.

A light of hope,

Hope to live.

The dawn had broke,

Broke the dark.

The dark of pain,

The pain of living.

And now I wait,

I wait for love.

For love to find me,

Find me here.

In the light,

The light of hope.

Hope that made me,

Made me think life,

Life might be worth living.

I LOVE this. It's so amazing. I really like the slight repetition... well, not exactly that, but how one line is slightly vague and the one after defines it more. Hm, I don't know how to describe it that well.. but yeah.
Great piece(:
