I PROMISE TO BE BETTER

A story/poem i wrote to my girlfriend about how i am feeling and how i will be :)

I love the way you kiss me each day and night.

I just really miss it when we never used to fight.

I hate the way i have treated you and i'm so sorry.

I feel like you're going to give up on me, 

And that makes me worry.

I shouldn't be taking my stress out on you i know.

I am hurt for what i have done and it definitely shows.

I have to put a smile on your face and make you happy more.

When you are, you see our future, and that's when you're sure.

I am going to try and be happy with you allot.

I will try and do this whether i'm with you or not.

I just have so much that's on my mind.

Getting myself a job is so hard to find.

My life seems to be going downhill, and its a big scare.

It just means so much how you're always there.

It hurts more when you're not near.

I know i don't really show it,

But i feel better when you're here.

You are so amazing, but sometimes i don't see.

This is why you deserve so much better than me.

I'm going to be better, this i promise to do,

Because what i do to you just isn't fair.

It's definitely not the way i like to treat you.

Thank you for being there for me every night.

I can't believe you still care even after we fight.

You are going to see the better me more,

It will make us very happy, that's for sure.

I love you more than anything sweetheart.

I'm going to try and be more happy when we're apart.

I want to be a better boyfriend to you,

Because that's who you fell in love with at the start.
