"Questions"

A Poem by Valentine

      "Questions"

What would the price have been?
How much would it have cost?
To of had your love forever,
Instead of heartache at loves loss.

Just what would it have taken?
Could wealth have paid the price?
To of had what every woman wants,
Love...marriage,a home...be yours for life.

Wasn't my all good enough?
Did you want silver and gold?
How could your love...run so hot,
And then...become so cold?

Just what does she offer you?
Can she love and give you more?
If youth means so much in life,
Can she...your youth restore?

What happens when you grow old,
And she is still in her prime?
When she seeks...a younger lover,
Will your heartache... echo mine?

Time will pass and my love will die,
Life goes on...this I know.
The day she leaves you all alone,
Just remember...I told you so!

A lot people cheat and why even bother getting married if that is what you are going to do. Kathie
"Will your heartache echo mine"

One can only wonder. I find it amazing how such a tiny thing as the heart can bear so many emotions, sadness, regret, anger, thirst for vengeance... Yet, in the end, we only find ourselves alone in the corner, asking all these questions which we never will have the answer to, while our significant other doesn't seem to have a bother in the world.

Time might heal wounds, but the only thing that will make the scars fade... is retribution, that bittersweet feeling.

Thank you for sharing this piece of your mind.

Getting back or getting even huh? An old saying says..."time heals all wounds and wounds all heals".. read more
This is Sad Valentine, I think there are some people who are never satisfied with one lover especially one they are lawfully wedded to. It feels bad that some people do not honor their vows and go on to younger ladies or gents

theres no values in relationships today, when the rough patch occurs everyone goes in damage control and become vindictive and wants out. the easiness of getting out does more damage than trying to piece together what you have.

Andrew, all loss hurts, having my husband pass away was the worst thing I have had to face, Kathie
Powerful statement. He may not know it now, but he will feel your pain as well. There's more to marriage than just the words, 'till death do us part'. Work is required to make a marriage work. Work from both the husband and the wife.

Many of foolish man have fallen for this trap silly girl makes a fuss then come the distrust years of marriage down the tubes for a new relationship with a girl half your age making a fool out of you as soon as she can get her hands on your gold she'll be once again gone and you will be alone with nothing but heart ache and heartbreak. I'm not that fool I'm not speaking from experience I divorced and single free. Lots of friends sometime lonely as can be.
