Born in the Light

Born in the Light

A Poem by Valerie Rian
"

Born in the light, but darkness prevails

"

Born in the Light

This is The Way

Love without might

Do not be swayed

Bred in the good

Don't stray from the line

Guilt motivates

The Truth shall be mine

Bathe in remorse

It compels us to choose

Morning Star will indorse

Light will now lose

Begin at the end

Darkness prevails

Light cries, but won't bend

The blackest of tales

If this is your first poem, you my friend I would be reading with keen interest:)
As your above last verses I enjoyed the most

Interesting poem,I like how your title captures the entire poem, very clever. The poem went Grait but the last part seemed wrong like you hastened it. Other than that well done!
