Here in this land of infinite paths

a place where people come for freedom

for peace, for equality

here in this land of lies and hate

they have been tricked 

into believing they're safe

we rip them open

tear them down

make them want to turn around

and go back to the land they had tried to flee

We pick on gays

who just want to have the same rights

rights that they deserve as people

we pick on Mexicans

some not even from there

but dark skinned 

and therefor the same

we pick on those in need

look down our noses

This is the United States.

or the land of greed and hate?
