The End...

The End...

A Poem by Vampyre of Fantasy

I took a leap of faith for you,

I left him behind,

To land in your arms,

Just to have you drop me in the freezing water.

I can't swim,

You stand on the bank and tell me you love me,

Then walk away.

I don't get it,

Am I not good enough?

I should have just stayed on the ledge,

With safety,

With someone who can tell me they love me,

And not just walk away.

I can no longer breath,

I am in panic,

I start to fight the water hard,

To keep my head above.

You come back,

And I see hope,

Then just walk away.

You have to pick,

Either save me,

Or leave me!

I start to cry,

You can't give me hope,

Then pull the rug out from under me.

Please save me,

Please let me know I made the right decision,

Please be with me.

I am tired,

And can't fight anymore,

I am in so much pain,

My heart hurts,

I start to give up.

You just keep walking back and forth,

You don't care that I am fighting for you,

You stop and stare at me.

How can I love you,

When you seem to hate me?

I start to fight the water harder,

I am moving on,

So should you.

Vampyre of Fantasy
It's kind of like a continuation to my other poem Leap of Faith. You can read one or both.
