How It Used To Be

How It Used To Be

A Poem by Vanny

I have come to realize
That my courage, I need to amass
Our words of old, I began to decode
And  found peace within  at last

Your talk of tangerine twilight
Shaded my soul,  to the underlying
Your verses filled me with insight
Therefore, my love for you remains undying.

Swiftly, my senses returned
I know this road all too well
It seems that all I have learned
Is that living without you is hell

I have worn out your unwilling ears
With unending worn out rhymes
My heart remains imprisoned of impending years
If loving you is a crime

It hurts my heart to know
It could have gone a different way
If only I gave our feelings a chance to grow
If only I could have found the words to relay
