a young black man die 5 years ago = and i found out to day 9-07-2021 - did not know him = but life was taken = like so many we has lost!

your Monumental courage

made us all proud 

standing in a sea of 

many 

you were standing taller

than all others  

brave and strong 

caring the voices 

of your African forefathers

letting your heart 

beat, tremendously loud

echoing like a  djembe drum 

reaching out 

to all your black and beautiful    

sisters and brothers 

we, who you,

 have 

left behind 

are still 

stand in your 

memory 

fighting side by side 

 with 

the sounds of your name  

as if, you had

never left 

our side 

love, peace, and tranquility 

are the words we whisper 

 

now with wings of freedom

my brother, take flight
