More than Love

You look the same

neither I'm any different

Then why the entire world

seems to be changing!

Did something go wrong?

Or is it going right?

Are we the only one's,

who is away from both!

Life is constantly moving from day to night

worry-less we are with each other,care-free!

No matter it is here or there

earth or sky, even heaven or hell

we have seen everything with our love! 

It's given pleasure and pain

when we tried to possess each other.

And that was when I learnt 

that love is all about self!

It starts with self, may be triggered by another

but essentially own making!

I traveled with this truth

met so many souls, applied and experimented.

All it gave was immense joy.

And then I returned to 

part the joy and give it to all.

Your poem is nicely expressed in an open innocent way, as if the reader is watching the narrator stumble down this road of life & love, discovering while sharing it in words. This reminds me of how many people start out thinking that the other person is supposed to make him/her happy by acting in all the ways we expect. But then we learn to let go & let people be how they are, realizing we need to look within to find some magic to bring to the relationship, instead of judging how well the other person is doing it . . . this is when real loving friendship happens!
