Poetic Storm

Poetic Storm

A Poem by Samantha ~virginpoet

Your words
and pain
echoed
through
my soul
cracking
breaking
shattering
my very
being

My heart burst
tears poured forth
I am forever changed

I now see you
differently

I understood and
forgave your past

But my midnight
imaginary
Rendezvous
made you sick

You call me
disgusting

And you say
"DON"T touch me"

Who are you
to judge me

Who are you
to judge my past
to get mad
over what my
loneliness caused

I touched the flesh
of a computer screen
to kill my sorrow
for a few minutes

You touched
the flesh of 300 women
bragged to me about it
went into detail displaying
how proud it made you

So how is that fair
of you to look at me
the way you do

What is the damn difference
when you Jack off to porn
or say I'd f**k her raw

Or f**k me
while you watch porn

I don't need
the fake bullshit
anymore

I have a real man
RATHER that is
what I thought you were
when really your a selfish child

My love
what happened
to you

A song repeats
itself in my mind
and I'm trying not to sing
this forever goodbye

But you seem to have
lost your mind

Instead of holding my hand
and facing the darkness with me
you ran away and placed
all the blame
on me

Never seeing the true
nature of what I had to do or why

You will never know
the pain you made me feel
how broken I am
how alone

You will never
have to see
the bleeding lines
on my wrist that I wrote
with the tears
blood and pain
that burst
from my heart
and soul

You have hurt me deeply
no words can say how my tears flow
you and poetry have failed me

I caught you before
you could fall
did you do
the same
for me

NO!
Instead
you saw the storm
turned and ran

And left me here
in suffering to drown

I poured out everything I had for you
told you all my deep dark secrets
because I loved and trusted you

And thought a past
could be accepted

And forgiven

But its my curse in life
to love more than
mere men
ever could

I know this might come across in the wrong way, but I have to speak my mind. This is quite possibly your single greatest poem thatwhich you have shared with us to date.
The sheer scale of the imagery and language here is staggering, and the amount of emotion and effort that has been packed into every word is phenomenal. Someone once told me that it is the wrters and poets who are so ill at ease, depressed or distressed who write the best poems and stories.
Sufficed to say, I have next to no experience whatsoever in the fields that are elaborated upon in this poem. Bad breakups, bad history, heartbreak, etc. but I can safely say that we all have our demons, Samantha, and I feel I can empathise with you in your sufferings; and no matter what life throws at us, we have to overcome them.
Looking at the end of it, all I can add is this.
Don't give up.

Visceral and seething poetry. I concur with the room. Run away...run the other way...

Wow...the emotion and pain in this poem is almost overwhelming. No one should cause another person that much pain - no one person is worth that.

You saw the storm
turn and ran - let them keep running - and you run the other way.

Love this since it's well written, but I agree with LadySoDevine. Get out ASAP.

Yes I can see this storm causing a lot of havoc. The words are melancholic and yes I can guess little background and wish things turn out well in the end for both of you. But it is a great work and does justice to your emotions even if it is harder to read them word after word

If you are part of a relationship that is as toxic as you have described here, you need to get out of it.
NOW.
If he does not accept you, if he does not understand you, if he does not even TRY to help you, he is not worthy of you.
I believe that this is one of the most raw and emotional pieces you have ever written, Samantha. This is truly heart-hitting and sadly beautiful. Excellent work.

This poem was just overflowing with emotion...the vulnerability, and the hurt and betrayal of not being accepted by someone you love. Boy, have I been there lol. An unfortunate past can definitely scare people away, but it is the past for a reason. I really enjoyed this, and could relate to it (: Lovely as always.
