Mountains

Written November 20, 2006 inspired by the Lonestar song of the same title

Life
isn't always easy
you get knocked down
and have to get back up

You learn to crawl
before you stand
you learn to stand
before you walk
you learn to walk
before you run

When life is easy
and the ground is flat
walking is easy
but with our ups and downs
our hills and valleys
we learn to pace ourselves
so we always have just enough
energy
to continue our journey

And sometimes...
sometimes you get suck
and curse the heavens
blaming your existence

But remember
god gave us mountains
so we could learn
to climb
up to him
and touch his face
with our own two hands
