To Light a Fire

To Light a Fire

A Poem by Jennifer P.
"

When we try to believe in a relationship or person that just isn't fit for us, we tend to become hopeful in wishful thinking. Yet, nothing can be forced..

"
To light a fire...
two rocks must clash
sparks fly to the sky
because that's the feeling..

The feeling is so pure
the moment is so capturing
like pouring liquor on the floor-
every drop scores a name-

That's exactly the same as the flame..
Two people collide.
Smiles exchange as the time passes by.
Yet overtime is exhausting.
Two teams in the heat, last shot-
ballin'.

...Balling are the eyes of the girl that cries
her heart hurts because as hard as she pushes,
the THOUGHT-
of a perfect picture between he and she...

it cannot be.
for HE can not SEE
where she wants to be.

The communication is nonexistent.
She pushes and pulls, but girl there's no fixing
DES-TIN-Y.
Let.It.Be.
Because when s***s not meant to be, it's easy to tell.

It tortures like the bad apple that aligned Adam & Eve.
The consequence is one of eternity.

He searches for everything I am elsewhere.
Even with me standing in front of him with all the traits known as the opposite of hate,
He's never late to search for glamour and a fake smile.

I leave my heart on the table, like a fool.
