What is Love? You tell Me.

I feel this is so true sometimes, so I wrote this poem to put out my point and ask others. Leave a question in your mind.

"
Do you ever feel as if Love is an endless lie?
A twisting darkness someone made up to try to show some semblance of happiness?

Love. It kills and it heals.
It breaks and it bonds.
It's irrational and rational.
It's life and it's death.

Love. It's great and it's stress.
It's fake and it's real.
It hurts and sometimes decides to kill.
It is beautiful and sometimes captures your heart.

But is Love fickle?
Is it a disease like the cell that starts sickle?
Is it a witch and a b***h?
Or is it great and makes your breath hitch?

You tell me.

Love your poem.... Love has both sides ; a good one and a bad one....It all depends on which side is overpowering which... hope that makes sense to you :p ....
While the word love...........
The more it's said, the more it looses it's importance.....
At the start of a relationship.... every 'I love you' is meaningfull.... But as time passes love just becomes a word and nothing else.....
Often people who teach others........ what love is....... themselves forget the meaning of it.....
And it hurts ..... That you,... Who did not know anything about love..... Get to know it better than they doo....
well bottom line..... Love is complicated

love...it's a word we use to describe a feeling towards something or someone that we don't understand. I have found in the past years that the word Love is used to describe something less than what it truly means. Love isn't sex or friendship. Sure, you can love a friend and you can have sex with someone you love, that's your life. But I think love is devotion, care, wanting to please someone because they mean that much to you. These days my friends will say "I love you" and I never respond with the typical "I love you too". They all know that I don't take or use this word lightly, and so if I ever tell them that I love them, I really mean it. I like how you think, and this sparks a good argument. I'm 15 as well, so it's nice to know someone my age has a similar mindset.

Love is volatile..especially the one we meet in relationships and with the magnitude they gather. Its a totally different scenario when we talk about parents I feel.. Great poem, very apt to the emotion and its nature. Cheers!

You said it all for the want of love.

Love walked upon a tight rope and can be lost with foolish actions or words. I like the thoughts in the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Love can be any and all of these things, I think it just depends on what you want it to be for you.
I think people try to hard to put love in a 'box' of sorts, they make it into this black and white thing but I don't believe that.
