Remembering Caylee Anthony

I wrote this poem when Caylee first went missing. I followed her case from the beginning hoping they would find her alive sadly that was not the case.

Caylee Anthony is still missing

And we now know she is dead

I can’t even imagine

What’s going through her grandparents head

 

Caylee was only 2

Just a sweet innocent child

When something like this happens

It makes the country go wild

 

Why did this happen

So many continue to ask

Because losing a child

Is pain no one can mask

 

I prayed for her every night

As I watched Nancy’s show

What happened to her

Only one person could know

 

God please bring her home now

Only you can

Because your power is greater

Than all of man

 

And until she is found

We will continue to look

Because the person that took her

Is the worst kind of crook

 

You are in all our hearts Caylee

And we all love you

And somehow we’ll find you

No matter what we must do

I too, was so traumatized over the Caylee Anthony story. I am still not getting how ANY mother could murder their own child? It is beyond me.
