Pinecones shed brown scales

Blossom petals descend

Green needles prick soil

This is really lovely. So much conjured with few words...nature, spring, life-cycles, renewal and even death and pain. Everything is coming apart here, and yesterday's beauty and life is passing, and there is pain in that loss.
