THIS IS JUST TO SAY

THIS IS JUST TO SAY

A Poem by Vol

I Picked strawberries

At Washington farms today

They were red through and through

Tender and fragrent

Not like those berry shaped balsa bits

They spray-paint red

And sell as the real thing

At Kroger.

However,

My lower back is telling me

I wasn’t cut out to be a farmer.
