What people perceive and what people are can be very different. Here you capture well the low self-esteem that is generated by negative attitudes. But to what extent is it a matter of perception? Maybe people are not thinking so badly! Whatever, we need to stand tall and look straight ahead, ignoring the opinions of the worthless. Be the fifth wall!

i do like it, but the speaker needs to realize these people who are being so judgmental...aren't worth a salt.
i really like the idea of the "fifth wall in a room"---
