It's Me Again

It's Me Again

A Poem by A. V. Madison

Her daddy says he isn't going to be around

to yell at her and watch her go down

He won't be here to tell her what is good from bad

Oh what a father this young girl had

"Teens aren't teens," Her momma says,

"Without ripped things."

And we can't make her stay

without whiskeying her worries away

And we can put her into therapy

but for this disease there is no immunitherapy

And we can put her in a foster home

but it won't make her feel less alone

So raise a glass

'Cause you're an a*s

but don't be afraid

the grim reaper comes fast

This is very good. The emotion portrayed in it is so real. Same with all your poems, I can relate to alot of this. Great job!

Thank you :)
This is, as I have seen many of your writings, a powerful reflection of life struggles. You manage to find a voice that draws me into the raw emotion of the lives portrayed.
Great job!

It shows in your words. And yes, I agree with your declaration of what is worth reading in poetry.
I love the words "whiskeying" and "immunitherapy". You should write your own dictionary...
