Sick and Tired

Sick and Tired

A Poem by Wavvey
"

This is my first ever attempt at a poem. Any critique or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jake.

"

Sick and tired of feeling sick and tired,

Who needs to sleep when I feel this deep inside,

Shut my eyes and release the fire,

Forget about the past for just a while.

The pillow has grown deaf from the Wilhelm screams,

The bed sheets blackened from the things they have seen,

The ceiling fan spins slower than the thoughts inside this brain,

And the quilt knows just how much you mean to me.

Addicted to the three hour slumber,

I’m sick again, maybe I’ll feel better by the summer.

Great poem! The last half of it, starting from the pillow, has such great imagery to it!
