Provisional. Precious.

Provisional. Precious.

A Poem by YouoweYoupay

Can we stay this way...?

Provisional. Precious.

You tilt your head waiting for an answer

I press my lips together

Consuming the laughter

You look funny when you focus too hard

But you're ruining the melody

Playing in our midnight backyard

You're cracking my quiet

I shelter your hand with mine

As I stare into the sight

Of everlasting myriads of stars...

Your ashen eyes glisten with a blush

My fingers ascend to your lips

No words needed, love. Hush...

Can we breathe instead of think...?

Can we stay this way...?

Drown in a gaze instead of blink...?

You stare, sitting by me still

My fingers on your lips

You've worked on that skill

You can read my lines

And my smile thanks you...

You cross your fingers through mine...

It's only minutes until...

You vanish back into your world...

You respect my wish and I will...

Miss the silent magic we hold...

A Shooting star…should I make a wish, dear..?

Even though I know you drew that star near…?

I cannot explain the way I feel about your work. Whenever I see something of yours in my read requests I cannot subdue my excitement because I know without a doubt in my mind that I am about to be transported to a world that leaves me breathless and craving more. My mind either fills with magical beings and places or my heart crushes with impending loses or like the power this piece has over me, I swell with love to near bursting. You are a captivating, brilliant writer, Wella. I will never tire of telling you.

great rhythm and a wonderful rhyme scheme, the shift between three-line and four-line stanzas was professional, the images, the diction, the whole poems is just great ... cheerful and outstanding ... keep it up !!

This is such a dreamish, tender place and time that you share.. That desire for making wishes.. and where wishes come true.. Loved the feel and flow that awaken that peaceful wonder of love...

The type drives my eyes crazy :p

I like the verbs in your work. You show the audience what is happening, rather than just tell the reader. Expressing action within feeling is a good habit in my opinion.
Nice work, thanks for sharing.

Your words express more than just emotion. You've hit the mark as you said, "Imagination is something wonderful...and expressing silence through words is fun." Amazing. This is already talent, and you call it "fun". Admirable. :)
